We really had a fantastic weekend at your gite, and I wanted to tell you how remarkable what you offer is.. generous is the only appropriate word. You have thought of all that a guest might want while staying with you, from new amusements, like a pool table, to enough plates, cutlery, and general equipment for a festive meal for twelve!

I live in your area as you know, and nevertheless feel as though we had a weekend in a small paradise far from our daily life. I would really hope you use this note on your website to show the level of praise you deserve.

Booking Conditions

Authority to sign

The person who signs the Booking Form certifies that he or she is authorised to agree the Booking Conditions on behalf of all persons included on the

Booking Form. The signatory must be a member of the party occupying the property and must be 18 years or over.

Payment

The deposit must accompany a booking form. The balance of the rental must be paid eight weeks before the start date of the holiday. Or the booking will be cancelled and deposit lost. The full rental is payable if the occupation date is less than eight weeks from the date of booking.

All payments to be made by bank transfer into our English account

By cheque made payable to C J O’Dwyer and forwarded with the Booking Form to : 9 rue du 4 Septembre, 11120, St Marcel sur Aude, France.

Hirer’s Obligations

1. To pay for breakage’s, losses or damage to the property or its fittings, fixtures or contents, caused or arising during the period of the hiring

2. To take good care of the property and leave it in a clean and tidy condition at the end of the tenancy. Particular attention must be given to the kitchen, ensuring that all equipment and utensils are left clean and tidy.

3. To permit the owners, reasonable access to the property to carry out any urgent maintenance.

4. The maximum number of persons, including infants allowed at the property must not be exceeded.

(The owners reserve the right to terminate the hire without notice and without refund in case of breach of this condition)

Arrival and Departure

You are asked to arrive after 4 pm as the keys will not be available before then, and depart by 10am on the morning of departure

(all times are local French times) The owner cannot be held responsible for any situation arising from arrival or departure outside the stated times.

Cancellations.

If written notice of cancellation is received by Mr & Mrs O'Dwyer not less than 8 weeks before the holiday commencement date the hirer will not be held liable to pay the balance of the accommodation rental. However if cancellation is made after the 8 weeks of commencement date, the hirer will still be liable to pay the remaining balance of the accommodation rental unless the property can be re-let

It is strongly recommended that your insurance policy includes cancellation provisions

Insurance.

Please ensure that you have your own holiday insurance, which should cover you and your party against Accident, Loss and Damage and also Cancellation (see above) while at the hired property, as owners cannot accept responsibility for any such occurrences.

Security Deposit.

There is a refundable deposit of £ 100/150 Euro which will be refunded when any deductions for damages or breakages have been paid for by the hirer, if any.

All bookings are accepted on the condition that the hirer is responsible for and will pay for any damages or breakages in or to the property occupied,

Including such damages, if any, which may only be discovered after departure. The deposit will be repaid within 7 days if no damage has occurred.

Owners will make a charge if no attempt is made to clean the property and it is left in a dirty condition.

Complaints.

We cannot accept responsibility for events or persons outside our control e.g. breakdowns of domestic equipment, exceptional weather or the action of carrier companies. We shall make every reasonable effort to organise rectification of a reported problem immediately. In any case we cannot accept liability greater than the amount paid by the hirer for the accommodation.

Swimming Pool.

The internal pool is deep, on arrival you will be told of the pool safety precautions and asked to say you are aware of them and agree with them, you will be responsible for your party’s safety and observance of them.
